Steady review: “Dare I say, it is a masterclass in science communication…”

“This book is like a pocket pandemic/disaster psychologist”

Yesterday, I was amazed and very thankful to receive a review from Dr Johnrev Guilaran, Assist. Prof. of Psychology, University of the Philippines Visayas. He is a fellow clinical psychologist, working in the realm of disaster psychology, and he obtained his Ph.D. here in New Zealand at Massey University.

” …this book is informative without being overwhelming or intimidating”

It’s probably the best review I have ever received, and I hope it gives you a flavour of what you can expect in my book, whether you are a member of the public trying to get through the coronavirus pandemic, a psychologist or other helping professional trying to assist other, or a policy advisor or leader, attempting to set parameters on how we collectively navigate our way through Covid-19 and into the future.

“Overall, Steady is a fantastic read for professionals, policy makers, and the general public…

It works excellently as a self-help book but at the same time, may even be a brilliant addition to the reference texts of disaster psychology students (and teachers, too).”

Please hop over to to read the review – and I’ve got a giveaway contest going on there from Jan 14-27, 2021. Good luck!
