Day 2 in Vietnam, and I’m in traffic. It’s only 7am but already the roads are buzzing. The trick is not to cross it directly. Instead, go with the flow of the traffic and adjust your course with the stream, edging closer to your destination, and paying attention when the traffic parts to let you through.
Join me on my first day in Hanoi, where I compare the traffic to India, try to find bia hoi corner (a Czech style beer brewed fresh every day and yes, it’s still here) and wander around the streets of the Old Quarter, the French Quarter and around Hoan Kiem Lake. Hanoi beer is delicious, light and refreshing and well worth seeking out.
